Kicked out of the gym for looking good
Can this happen in Europe one day? Tiffany Austin from Richmond, California suffered a car accident and was told by her doctor to do some sports to recover.
Tiffany decided to join Planet Fitness Gym in her area and was looking forward to get in shape.
Her first and only workout in that gym lasted a mere 15 minutes. Then she was approached by the staff and told to wear a shirt as she was “intimidating other members with her toned body”.
She agreed. However, until the first staff member went to bring a shirt, another one came to her having issues with her body, effectively making her to leave the gym.
Planet Fitness has a harsh and uncompromising policy against “gymtimidation” – any form of intimidation one can be subject to in the gym.
It means – among others, a strict dress code that prohibits the tank tops (Ms. Austin was wearing one). Every Fitness Planet gym is fitted with “Lunk Alarm” which sends off a siren if you drop the barbell on the floor or if you just breathe too loudly.
When you look at Tiffany Austin’s pictures, you can see that she actually isn’t very “toned” - she’s just an average woman who looks quite good without much exercise.
