James Fisher
James is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Conditioning and Fitness at Southampton Solent University. Having previously been a free-lance personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach with some notably high calibre athletes and organisations. More recently, James has worked with British Wheelchair Basketball through the 2008-2012 Paralympic cycle and attended the 2012 London Paralympic games as an assistant coach to the GB Women’s Team. He is also a published author of multiple, scientific peer-reviewed articles on the areas of strength training and physical conditioning.
Amongst his other endorsements James is a tutor with the UK Anti-Doping organisation and is an IFBB Accredited Weight Training Prescription Specialist. He has also acted as a reviewer to scientific journals including the esteemed International Medical Journal for Experimental & Clinical Research, and regularly presents at international sports and exercise science conferences.
